Gratitude is one of the most important exercises for improving our everyday lives, raising our vibration and attracting the abundance that we desire.
However, for very many people gratitude is not an everyday practice, in fact, most people tend to focus on what they lack, whether on what they already have, creating an endless loop where everything they experience in their reality is lack, rather than abundance.
The law of attraction is pretty simple and gratitude plays a very important part in it. Why? Because the law of attraction states that you become your focus. And so, a lot of people think that in order to get what they want is to pray to get it, to ask for it and focus on it obsessively, but this isn’t how things work.
Not having an attitude of gratitude is what is keeping you away from your all your wishes and desires. This is why gratitude is so important.
But how can you practice gratitude and use the law of attraction for your highest benefit? Let’s start with what gratitude is first.
What is Gratitude?
Gratitude is commonly known as counting your blessings, being grateful for everything that you are and have, for everyone in your life and for every life situation that you have experienced and experience today. Being thankful for everything that the universe poured into your life experience is what gratitude is.
This is why, some say that the best kind of prayer is the one that starts with “thank you”. Thanking for your good health, for our family and friends, for the wonderful people in your life, for your job and your hobbies, for all of your passions, for the roof above your head, for all the opportunities that life throws at you constantly is the best way to start a prayer.
So, if gratitude is so important, why isn’t it a common practice for most people?
Well, it’s somewhat imbedded in our brains that when you pray, you pray to get something, not to be thankful for what you already have. Praying to achieve something you don’t have already, to get something that you so much want and lack is our misunderstanding of how the law of attraction works. When you constantly shout to the universe that you’re lacking something, you basically create more of the thing that you lack and minimize your chances of getting to where you want to be.
Gratitude Makes the Difference between Abundance and Lack
The only thing that separates one that lack from one that enjoys abundance is the perspective. Nothing more, nothing less. The rich one (and here I refer to all sorts of riches) sees himself as a rich man while the poor one is constantly contemplating their poverty.
The rich man knows he is rich and this is his daily focus, while the poor believes he is poor and cannot find a way to think of himself as being rich. If you would simply understand this mechanism and make the switch in your mind to think as a rich man, you would access abundance almost instantly.
The world has no built in meaning, it is how you see it and what you make of it. It is your attitude that created who you are and not the outside circumstances. Your attitude towards yourself constantly creates your reality.
An attitude of gratitude for all that you are and have creates even more things to be grateful for!
Now that you know the biggest secret about how the law of attraction works, why not use it for your highest good? You are what you create, you are your thoughts that lead to words and ultimately manifest into actions. Everything you see around you has been a mere idea in the beginning, you were just an idea before you were born yourself. It’s your job to design your world and yourself according to your choices.
By choosing to be thankful, to be grateful for everything that you have already is your way to invite the universe to offer you even more reasons to be thankful for. This is how the law of attraction works.

Make Your Gratitude List
The simplest and most efficient way to practice gratitude is by counting all your blessings, by putting them on paper. It’s time for you to make your own gratitude list, and with it, create the best “prayer” of your life. Although at times you may think that there’s nothing to be grateful for in your life, I can certainly tell you that you are wrong.
There’s ALWAYS at least one good reason to be thankful for, but I’m sure there’s more where that came from. The most important reason to be grateful for is for being alive, which is the ultimate gift you’ll ever get. Now it’s your turn, make this simple exercise of gratitude and write down all your blessings and positives.
After you’ve completed your list, put it on your bedside table, read it when you feel down, whenever you think there’s nothing good in your life. Even better, read it first thing in the morning when you wake up and right before you go to bed at night. Let this gratitude list be your own personal mantra, your personal prayer to the mighty universe. Let it guide you through your darkest hours towards the light within you.
You’ll soon notice how the world starts to change around you from every perspective, because what gratitude does is to take you from a place of lack where you wish for something to a place of abundance where you already have it.
